Darren H. Watson
Darren Watson Father of 5. Highly Credentialed, Professional and Reliable Security Provider and Leader - Darren Watson a native of West Philadelphia, born and raised in the 190th District, was educated in the Philadelphia school system attending Barry, Hamilton, Lamberton and West Philadelphia High School. Darren made a great impact by his popularity as an excelling student and athlete in his community. Darren continued his educational and athletic pursuits at The Nations 1st Historically Black College University / 1st black institute of higher education. Cheyney University, where he played 2 sports while maintaining a 3.5 GPA as a recipient of the Senator Hughes Scholarship.
In addition, while attending Cheyney, Darren pledged and became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated, inducted into the Rho Phi Lamda Honors Society, served on the Student Government board for 3 years, and was head Residential advisor and mentor for freshman for 2009-2011. Darren Watson started his career during his undergraduate studies at Cheyney in 2009 in Mental health. Employed at Universal Health services, he started as a line floor staff and quickly overtime gained a foundation rebuilt and transformed mental health programs in the PA Region by developing, retraining and providing trauma informed training for all Mental Health employees under his leadership.
Over the years, Darren’s roles in Mental Health have led him to becoming dedicated to quality care for “at risk” youth who were adjudicated for sexual misconduct and mental health illness. His dedication didn't go unnoticed. It landed him an administrative assistant & direct support of the Partial Hospitalization program at Fairmount Behavioral for children and adults in 2014. Within a year, Darren’s career was heightened with a Director of Security, Crisis Response & Patient Engagement Lead Instructor role at Friend’s Hospital where he remained until the latter part of 2021. In 2018 Darren became a foster parent fostering 18 adolescent young men in a 3-year time span with a 90% successful reunification with biological families until 2021. In 2021 he adopted two boys Aidan and Elijah.
From 2010-Present Darren has worked under his Father Darryl Watson Sr who is a Combat veteran, former law enforcement and large agency owner along with Shawntee Willis owner of 215 BEARS. In 2014, Darren Obtained his Act 235 Certification for Armed Security in the state of Pennsylvania. In 2018 Darren realized his passion for Security and his community and wanted to be more intricate with his abilities to lead. He traveled to various cities to obtain Executive Protection and Security Training by industry leading firms like Shadow Group/Shamir Bolivar, Barber training solutions, Offshore Kinetics, Surplus Arme Training Group and First Line Defense, LLC, MVP Executive protection class by Melvin Key. Darren is now a security agency owner in multiple major cities, New Jersey & Pennsylvania with multistate concealed carry permits with Armed security credentials for California as well.
Providing protective Services to schools, businesses and corporations. Noteworthy mention, Darren has also obtained certification as an instructor for Stop the Bleed, Under the leadership of Dexter "Doc" Jerome Peggins. Specializing in Treatment for Traumatic Injuries to the Human Body, Recognized by the American College of Surgeons committee on trauma. The company is overseen by a group of Veterans from the Army, Navy, Marines, and Retired & Active who fulfills the duties of the Board of Directors.
Born 2 Protect offers training and education to the community on conflict avoidance, Self-Awareness, Mental Health, Firearms, Self Defense & Parenting. To date, born 2 Protect, LLC. has operated hundreds of details in multiple cities, & countries serving vastly diverse demographics. No fatalities, no instances of abuse or neglect, no prior investigations or alludes of illegal conduct. Our priority is to deter, report & provide structure and stability at a high quality and low risk manner. Darren is now serving as the Director of security operations for Grammy award winning and record-breaking artist, actors and leaders. Centralized in California and Philadelphia.

He dedicated his time from 2015 - 2018 to volunteer and coach youth football for the West Philadelphia Panthers at 57th & vine. Before relocating he Volunteered as Assistant Head Football coach for his former school West Philadelphia High School.
